Ed and I were so saddened to hear about the loss of your husband.  We know your faith will give you strength and support through this difficult time.  We are always so grateful to you for the incredible support and kindness you gave our family when we experienced losing those we have loved.  We pray for you and your family.

Mit der Nachricht vom Heimgang unseres Bruders Bernd werden wieder Erinnerungen wach an die wunderschöne und gesegnete gemeinsame Zeit auf der Bibelschule Beröa. Freude bereitete jeweils das Wiedersehen mit Bernd bei den letzten Jahrgangstreffen. Bestimmt wäre er auch zum geplanten Treffen 2015 gekommen. Nun aber hat er das Vorrecht durch seinen Abschied von seiner Familie und seinen Freunden auf Erden sich mit Jesus treffen zu dürfen. Bernd darf jetzt schon schauen, was uns allen noch bevorsteht. Wir, die wir noch zurückgeblieben sind, dürfen mit der Gnade unseres HErrn rechnen in naher oder ferner Zukunft ebenfalls vom HErrn abberufen zu werden, um ein Wiedersehen mit Bernd und allen Heiligen zu feiern.

My heartfelt condolences to Veronica (and to Michael and Stephan and other members of the family). It was an honor getting to know Ben... when we traveled to Germany together in October 2012. His thoughtfulness and generosity made the trip all the more pleasant. Our tennis games at Bethel Park Camp, and Ben and Veronica's visit to our church (Gospel Church in Waterloo) in the Thanksgiving season last year are also cherished memories.
