When we were kids, Arden always made me laugh. Especially at the dinner table, when Norman, Edith, Eileen, Graham and David would ignore him, Arden would have me, his captive (and only) audience, in stitches so I could hardly eat!

Then there was the time Arden & Graham took me to my first horror movie - the Amazing Colossal Man. David, my age, was used to such "horrors" and laughed off this B-grade, low-budget 1950s film. But I couldn't sleep for months. I'm sure this is why my hair is so white today.

But there is good news, Holly, Kelly, Tracy and Jeffrey and family. Arden is a Believer. So we will all miss him in this world, but we rejoice that he has been called home to be with the Lord. God has blessed this world with Arden's presence and good humour. Now he receives his true reward - eternal life with Jesus Christ our Saviour. What a comfort this certain knowledge is.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of such a beloved husband, father, family member, co-worker and friend to the community. Arden was always the first friendly, smiling face that you saw when you walked into a crowded room. He will be greatly missed and always remembered in the tenderest place of our hearts.
