William S Sheppard Jr.

William “Bill” Sheppard or “Sonny” as most knew him, passed away on February 17, 2016, he was 71. Bill is a native of Daytona Beach, FL. He was born March 26, 1944 to the late Sterling and Crystal Sheppard (nee Yelvington). He married his wife Donna in 1964, they were married 51 years. Bill worked and retired from CAPO, Inc. in Ormond Beach, where he built cabinetry and display cases for the sunglass manufacturer. Bill enjoyed his family, hunting and fishing, he was also a member of the NRA and an avid knife collector. He will be deeply missed by his family and many close friends. Bill is survived by his loving wife Donna; son, Bobby Sheppard; daughter-in-law, Renee; daughter, Shelly Laughman (Paul); grandchildren, Christy Saucier and Shane Sheppard; brother, Robert Sheppard; sisters, Mary Helen Weaver, Barbara Miller and Linda Sandlin. Also left to cherish bill’s memory are 2 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Florida Hospital Hospice, Ormond Beach. A gathering to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on February 27, 2016 at 1926 Fairland Rd, Ormond Beach, FL at 3:30 pm .
