Virginia Covey, 94, resident of Grand Villa Ormond Beach, passed away June 28, 2015. Born in Daytona Feb. 10, 1921. She and her late husband Leland Covey graduated from Seabreeze High School. Virginia was Miss Daytona Beach in 1939. Her mother was Josephine Spinner. Her Father Les Grant. She was fifth Cousin of General and President U.S. Grant. She is survived by daughters Debra Wells, Barbara Fisher four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brother Gene Grant, Step daughter Sandra Cooke. Viewing July 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home Ormond Beach. Followed by Service at 1:00 pm. Interment same day at 2:30 pm at Daytona Memorial Park Daytona Beach. Virginia and Leland were members of St. Luke's Anglican Church in Port Orange.
