Dr. Thomas J. Doll, age 88, passed away February 1, 2016, with his family around him. He was born in Cassville, Wisconsin, on June 15, 1927, to the late Otho and Anna (Garton) Doll and was the youngest of six siblings. Dr. Doll attended high school in Lancaster, Wisconsin, where he earned a letter in boxing, and graduated in 1944. He attended some college before enlisting in the United States Navy in 1946. Upon his return from the Navy, Dr. Doll graduated from Emmanuel Missionary College, (now Andrews University), in 1951. Dr. Doll attended medical school at Chicago College of Osteopathy. He then practiced Family Medicine for six years in Michigan before beginning his residency in radiology at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. After becoming a Radiologist, he practiced in Houston, Texas until he moved to Ormond Beach, Florida where he worked at Peninsula Medical Center. Dr. Doll officially retired in 1995, but continued to pursue his love of Radiology working part time at the VA Clinic in Daytona Beach and at Florida Healthcare. Dr. Doll enjoyed fishing and boating and just being near the water. He loved his work and enjoyed caring for people. He was an active member of the Daytona Beach Se-venth-day Adventist Church. Dr. Doll will be missed dearly by his wife, Beverly, family, close friends, former colleagues, and all those he worked with. Dr. Doll was preceded in death by his son, Robert Doll, who passed away in 2008. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly of 65 years. Also left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Susan Mann (Rick) of Berrien Springs, Michigan, and Gloria McMaster (Michael) of Ormond Beach, Florida; grand-daughters, Wendy Halder (Eric) and Tamara Bell, both of Niles, Michigan, and great-granddaughters, Anna and Lillian Bell. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 7, 2016 between 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL.
