Bob is survived by His beloved wife of 59 years, Loretta, who he married in New Haven, CT in 1955.
Bob is lovingly remembered by His Children; Rob and AJ Tuttle, Roselle and Chris Johnson and Laura Tuttle, His grandchildren; Alexa, Jessica, Carlie, Miranda and Robert Julian Tuttle, Victoria and Michael Marlett, Olivia Hartsell and Benjamin Hartsell, Laura Ashley and Christine Panaggio, and Elizabeth and Timothy Beman, great-grandchild Aliyah Beman, brothers; Arthur, Harry, John, William, and Edward Tuttle, sisters; Elizabeth Perrone, Janet Martone and Elaine Sorenson.
Bob was born in New Haven, CT. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War as a hospital corpsman assigned to the US Marine Corp. He moved to Daytona Beach, FL in 1964 and was a business man for 24 years until elected to the Volusia County Council serving from 1989 through 1998. Bob was chairman of the Volusia County Council, Chairman of the Main Street Redevelopment Board, a member of the Transportation Disadvantage Coordinating Board, Daytona Board of Adjustments, Board of Family Welfare Association, Emergency Medical Task Force, and Board of Directors Florida League of Cities. He served on many other civic organizations and clubs as well.
Bob enjoyed golf, tennis, singing, spending time with family and friends and most of all making others laugh. His passion in life was fueled by his love and devotion to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The Celebration of Bob’s Life is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. at the Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, located at 548 North Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174 with Pastor Larry Kirk officiating. The Interment will immediately follow the service at Volusia Memorial Park, located at 550 North Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bob’s memory to Halifax Health Hospice attention Vicki Viscomi at 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange FL 32129.
