At the age of 13, Bob moved to Ormond Beach, Florida, where he graduated from Seabreeze High School. He then attended Daytona State College and Florida State University where he studied Architectural and Graphic Design.
His early career included working at INEX as an Art Director. He then moved to St. Thomas where he spent two years enjoying his position as art director at a successful sportswear company. After moving back to Daytona Beach, he spent time designing for Southeast Tees, during which time he met his wife Susan (Canillas) Becker. His design and graphic talent led him to Don Bell Sign Company until 1991, when he became employed as Art Director for John Scott Advertising.
Bob married Susan (Canillas) Becker on October 14, 1989. They raised three children and were happily married for almost 25 years. During their marriage, Bob's designing talent and Susan's flair for fashion design influenced them to open up their own successful business together, Becker Designs, Inc., in 1994. He enjoyed classic and sports cars, and especially his motorcycle. He loved to keep them showroom clean. He had a passion for all history and learning about the past. The highlight of his life was his family; his beloved wife Susan, his children and grandchildren, his sister and his “special” nephew. He also cared for and loved his parents deeply.
Bob was loved by all that knew him, giving his all to anyone that needed his help. A kind loving man that could always put a smile on everyone’s face throughout good times or bad. Nicknamed "Bawb" by some of his New England family and friends, he was always the first to come back with a witty comment to make you smile. A kind man with a huge heart that left an impression no one could ever forget.
Bob is survived by three children; a daughter Valerie Bell, his grandchildren Noah and Kylie Davis; daughter, Vanessa Bell his grandchildren Anthony, Taylor, and Kendall Barton; son, Timothy “TC” Bell; sister Ginny (Becker) Boyce and brother in law Kerry Boyce; brother, John Becker, wife Sandy, and their two children Amanda and John; nephew, Mathew Marteeny; wife, Susan and daughter Isabella; two cousins, Robert and Jim Soltysiak; mother and father in law, John L.
