We''ll always remember that special smile, that caring heart, that warm embrace you always gave us. A light is from our household gone. A voice we loved is stilled. A place is vacant in our home that never can be filled. Paul H. Francis, 75, passed away on January 4, 2024, in Daytona Beach, FL.
The son of Helen R. Francis and Peter L. Francis, Paul was born September 28, 1948, in Lynbrook, NY. He went into the military right out of high school and served 4 years in the United States Navy.
After the military, Paul settled in Daytona Beach, Florida where he joined his family in running various hotels including the famous Ormond Hotel. Once Paul’s family retired from the hotel industry, he went to work for Sea Ray Boats and eventually landed at Root Company where he served as Maintenance Supervisor for 29 years until his retirement in December of 2021.
Paul and his wife, Pamela M. Francis built an amazing life in Daytona. He raised 2 boys and spent much of his time helping others in the community, giving back/volunteering at his church and working on his boat, which has been a 21-year project.
He is survived by his wife Pamela M. Francis and their children Brian H. Francis with life partner Jessica Belz and Michael P. Francis with wife Heather Francis; Brothers, Larry Francis, David Francis and Bill Francis; Many nieces and nephews.
Paul was a deeply devoted husband and beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who dedicated many years of his life to helping others and in service to his faith and membership of First Baptist Daytona Beach. Always greeted everyone with a smile. His passing was sudden and unexpected.
A graveside service for Paul will be held Monday, January 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach,Florida. Following the graveside service will be a Celebration of Life reception at 12:00 PM at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach, Florida.
Paul will be laid to rest in Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach, Florida.
