Nancy Thalheimer, 86, passed away on August 13, 2018 in Maitland, Florida. Prior to living in the Orlando area for the last 18 months, Nancy lived in Ormond Beach, FL for over 50 years. Nancy was the daughter of Malcolm D. Norton and Ester Mason Norton, Cazenovia, New York. She is survived by her daughters Linda Thalheimer, Tallahassee, FL and Lisa Mahoney, Orlando, FL (Mark Mahoney); and grandchildren Lindsey and Matthew Mahoney (Orlando, FL). Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jim) Thalheimer; son, Mark Thalheimer; and her brother, Malcolm Norton.
Nancy was born in Cazenovia, New York and met her future husband at General Electric, in Syracuse, New York where she was a secretary. They were married on November 1, 1958 in Syracuse and were transferred through General Electric to Ormond Beach, Florida in 1965.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a wonderful homemaker who volunteered in the school kitchen, and chaperoned many field trips.
She was an avid bowler and a long-time member of the Ormond Beach chapter of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), the Daytona Beach Boat Club, and the Daytona Beach Street Rod Association.
She loved to travel in the RV with her husband, spending summers crossing the U.S. visiting family and friends.
All are invited to gather and visit prior to Mass. A Memorial Mass will take place at 11:00AM Saturday, August 25, 2018 at St. Brendan Roman Catholic Church, 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32176.
