Marjorie Alice Webb Roth, age 93, passed away gently on Friday, February 6. Margie was born November 2, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio to Raymond and Nell Webb. She was married to George Henry Roth in 1944 and they moved to Ormond Beach, Florida shortly after. They started an ice cream beach concession in Daytona Beach then, after their children were born, was a homemaker. In 1971 she went to work as secretary at Halifax Hospital, where she remained until 1983. She and her family were founding members of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Ormond Beach and, after moving to Port Orange, was an active member at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bingo and watching her loved TCM movie channel. Margie was admired for her grace, kindness and beauty. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great grandmother and will be dearly missed. Margie was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George; her parents, Ray and Nell Webb and her brother Jack Webb. She is survived by her children, Ellen White (Tom), Ormond Beach and John (Dar) Holly Hill, grandchildren, Meghan Roth, Altamonte Springs, Adam White (Erica) Pt. Orange, Rick White (Karly) Pt. Orange and great grandchildren Taylor White and Kinsley White. Her adopted family were her friends and kind caregivers at Bishops Glen Health Care Center who will miss her sweetness and kindness. Visitation will be at The Basilica of St. Paul at 10:30 AM on Friday February 13, 2015 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the Alive in Christ fund at the Basilica of St. Paul, 317 Mullally Street, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114.
