Lois Bunning

Lois Bunning, age 91 went to be with the Lord on Christmas Day, 2014. She was born in Chicago, IL on November 16, 1923 to the late George and Janette Vanderschoot, who were immigrants from Holland. Lois was one of 14 children, she and her twin sister, Eunice, were the youngest set of three sets of twins. Lois was a devout Christian and loving mother, who enjoyed sewing, baking and being with family.

Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert Bunning, who passed away in 2009. She is survived by her sons Bruce Bunning of Port Orange, FL and John and Theresa Bunning of Ferriday, LA; daughters Lois Jean Bunning of Port Orange, FL and Lori and David Rodgers of Alpharetta, GA; her twin sister Eunice and Wendell VanHeukelem of Aurora, CO and beloved sister Ruth Decker of Punta Gorda, FL; grandchildren Justin and Katelyn Duffy of AL, Jordan Duffy of Port Orange, Matthew Bunning of Daytona Beach, Christina Ellison of Palm Coast

Services will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time.
