Lawrence A. Warner 84, of Edgewater, formerly of Daytona Beach, passed away on November 27, 2011. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, at the Ormond Beach Chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 North Nova Rd. and interment will follow in Volusia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday November 29, 2011. Lawrence was born on June 25, 1927 to the late Francis Jacob Warner and Lottie Plymale in Nichols, N.Y. A Navy veteran he worked on several government projects to include, G.E. Apollo project, General Dynamics F111 project and the Raytheon, Anti Ballistic Missile system project. He also worked as the building inspector for the city of Daytona Beach and was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church. An antique car enthusiast he was a member of the Antique Car Club of America and enjoyed judging and inspecting show cars. He was the proud owner of a 1951 Chevy truck that took several 1st place ribbons. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Larry Warner, Arlene Boardman, and Billy, Terry and Harold Jamerson; 9 grand children; 7 great-grand children and 1 great great-grandson; sisters, Gertrude Meade and Myrtle Sherwood; his brother Carl Warner and his three canine companions, Tiny, Mickey and Pete. He is predeceased by three brothers, Harry, Joe and Leon and his wife of 43 years Doris who passed exactly two years prior on November 27, 2009.
