Joseph A. Kearney, age 77, of Port Orange, passed away on January 27th, 2022. Joe was born on September 14th, 1944 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Joe was an Eagle Scout and served proudly as a Sergeant and Tank Commander in the Pennsylvania National Guard. He also proudly served as a Pennsylvania State Trooper with the rank of Corporal at the Swiftwater barrack. He retired after 25 years of service on January 3rd, 1992.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Joe was predeceased by Susan Kearney (wife), Joseph Kearney (father), and Loretta Kearney (mother).
He is survived by his three children, Christopher Kearney, Adam Kearney (Melissa) and Allison Gartrell (David), along with seven grandchildren – Cameron, Colin, Tia, Ashley, Ethan, Austin, and Christopher.
A private family service will be held in his honor and remembrance.
