Jean Patricia Doherty

Jean Patricia Doherty, 68, affectionately known to family and friends as Jeanne, was born on March 18, 1950 and entered into Heavens Gates on January 22, 2019. She was born in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York. Jeanne was a young girl when the family relocated to Brooklyn where she raised her four children. She later relocated to Daytona Beach to be closer to her children who had moved to a warmer climate. Jeanne was a sister, mother, grandmother and homemaker, as well as a remarkable cook who loved cooking for her family and friends, especially during the holidays. She loved to take photographs on the beach during her spare time. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Doherty, her parents, Thomas and Monica Ingram, her son, James and her brother Thomas. She is survived by her daughter Danielle, her sons Dylan, Eric (April), her grandchildren Dylan, Cameron, Sean, Mason & Bayleigh, and her brothers Steven, James (Veronica), Daniel and David (Kathy). Additionally, Jeanne will be missed by her prior life partner, James Shand, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday January 29, 2019, at 1:00 PM at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home-Ormond Beach, 548 N. Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Family will receive friends at 12:00PM until service time.
