George Phillip Mroz, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday October 29, 2014. He was born in Elwood, IN son of Georgia and John Mroz. A veteran, George honorably served in the U.S. Army. He had and extensive career with General Motors spanning 37 1/2 year. After retiring as a supervisor in 1992 he and his wife Lorraine moved to Ormond Beach. George had many hobbies to include performing in amateur theater, traveling and bowling. He was an avid fisherman, and worked part-time in a bait shop. George’s faith was important to him. Serving as an Elder of The Living Cornerstone, George loved working with the pastors and members of the church. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lorraine; five children, Tony, Natalie, Parris, Mark and Branden and 10 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents and one sister. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2014 at The Living Cornerstone 1835 Taylor Rd Port Orange.
