Frederick G. Gebhardt Jr, age 70, of Ormond Beach, passed away on January 7, 2014 after a long illness. He was born August 13, 1943, in Warren, PA, to Frederick and Mary Jo Gebhardt. He served 4 years in the US Navy and graduated from Indiana University of PA with Bachelor and Masters degrees. He worked for the VA for 28 years. Survived by his wife, Dianne; three brothers, Larry (Sandy), Joe (Sue) and Tad (Linda); sister, Janet; and nephews and niece (Chad, Gregory, Ryan, Grant, Tyler, and Erin). Fred and his beloved Golden, Rau, continued his dedication to veterans by regularly visiting veterans at the local nursing home. He enjoyed traveling, golf, NASCAR and reading. Fred’s humor and generosity will be remembered and missed by those who knew him. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, at 10:00am and a Memorial Service will be held at 11 am at the Volusia Memorial Funeral Home in Ormond Beach. 548 Nova Road, Ormond Beach, Florida, 32174.
