Eric W. Evans, 86 of Holly Hill, FL passed away February 19, 2016. He was born in Elthan, England on February 18, 1930 to parents Eric L. and Gladys Evans. A Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the Lawrence School of Technology. Eric married Barbara Evans August 25, 1951, they were married 62 years, Barbara preceded Eric in death February 2014 on Valentines Day. Eric worked as an Engineering Supervisor for General Motors Hydamatic/ Powertrain division. He had a passion for restoring and driving antique cars as well as model trains. Eric was a member of several car clubs and a member of the Zion Lodge F & AM, Detroit, Michigan. Eric is survived by his son, James Evans; daughter, Deborah Bramigk; grandchildren, Troy Bramigk (Margaret), Samuel Evans and Alley Evans; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Ian, Reese and Christopher. A service to celebrate Eric's life will be held this evening, February 23, 2016 at 4:45 pm in the chapel at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach.
