Dorothy D. Viorde

Dorothy “Dottie” D. Viorde of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the age of 62. Dottie was born July 3, 1954 in Altus, Oklahoma. She is predeceased by her parents, Frederick Joseph Decker and Doris Lloyd Decker. She is survived by her husband, Vincent Viorde Sr., Ormond Beach, FL, and her two children, Vince Viorde Jr. and wife, Lindsey Viorde, Port Orange, FL, and Mandy McDaniel and husband, Kyle McDaniel, Ormond Beach, FL, and soon-to-be granddaughter, Mason McDaniel. Dottie was an elementary school teacher for 37 years, retiring in 2015 from Sweetwater Elementary School, Port Orange, FL. She had many personal interests including shopping, crafting, and cooking, but the majority of her time was focused on her family. She was a proud wife and mother who wanted nothing more than to add Nana to her name. Her strength, optimism, and smile will live on forever through the memories she made with her family. There is no sweeter person, and she is so greatly missed, we love you Mother, Momma, and Lady. Dottie’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, August 6th at Christ Presbyterian Church in Ormond Beach (1035 W. Granada Blvd.), followed by a burial service at Volusia Memorial Park (550 N. Nova Rd.
