Doris M. Moore

Doris M. Moore Oct. 9, 1946 - Oct 9, 2022. Doris passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her best friend and loving husband of 49 years - Alan Moore. She fought a courageous 2 year battle with ovarian cancer. Doris was born in Pennsylvania and moved with her family to the Daytona Beach in 1963. Doris was the youngest of 9 children, 8 girls and 1 boy. She is predeceased by her parents Michael and Ruth Martinovic and 4 siblings. She worked as an insurance adjuster retiring from Volusia County Managers Office in 2008. She and her husband Alan were inseparable. Doris was passionate about her pet Rottweilers and raised many litters over the years. Because Doris loved the ocean and rivers they spent most of their time in the St John River Springs, camping and boating. Her favorite times were spent outdoors, and with close friends on Lake Winnemissett in DeLand. She was loved by all and will forever be remembered as a beautiful, kind, patient person.

A Celebration of Life service will occur Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 12:00 PM, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, Florida. Doors open at 11:00 AM, Celebration of Life to begin at 12:00 pm. A light reception will follow after service at same location. As per the family request please dress florida casual. No suits. Because of Doris's love of the Florida water-ways, wear something blue in your attire.
