Charles Wesley Dupree , 82, of Ormond Beach passed away Thursday at Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial Medical Center. He was born November 19, 1931 in Spartanburg, S.C. son of Gladys (Gleaton) and Jesse Forest Dupree. Charles graduated from Savannah High School, Armstrong Jr. College and Georgia Tech with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He honorably served in the U. S. Navy. On August 31 1957 he married Margot Gunsolus in Atlanta, GA and they have shared 56 years of marriage. From 1957 until his retirement in 1989, Charles was an electrical engineer for FPL working as an area systems protection manager. He has been a resident of this area since 1980 and was an active member of River bend Community Church. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Margot, sons Stephen of Titusville, Mark Wesley, of Ormond Beach, Allen and his wife Amy of Orlando and Donald and his wife Erin from Idaho Falls Idaho; daughter Wendy of Vancouver, WA; brothers Ike of St Peter’s, MO and Daniel of Fairborn, OH; sister Gwendolyn Woolman of Niceville, FL; and grandchildren Ryan, Austin, Gage, Laura and Catie. He was predeceased by three brothers. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 548 N. Nova Rd Ormond Beach. Funeral services will be held 1P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by interment in Volusia Memorial Park with military honors.
