Barbara Elliott Teague

Barbara passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 9th, 2014. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Alfred Teague, son Larry Teague of Gainesville, FL, daughter Susan Samuel of East Granby, CT, and a brother, Willard (Buck) Elliott of Lansing, KS. She also leaves four grand-children, Kevin and Molly Teague, and Anna and Amanda Samuel. Barbara was born in York, PA to Albert and Margaret Elliott. She married Alfred in Greenfield, MA in 1954, they moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1955. She raised her family in Pompano Beach, FL and moved to Ormond Beach in 1997. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will always remain in her family’s hearts. Her friends remember her for her enthusiasm, creativity, and energy, from her Cub Scout den mother days to her love of NASCAR and that endless supply of cookies. A memorial service will be held 2:00p.m. on Friday, August 22, at the Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd. in Ormond Beach, 386-673-5373.
