William “Bill” Hartnett, 64 died unexpectedly on June 9, 2017 at his home in North Eastham, MA. He was born and raised in Harford, CT. He graduated from South Catholic High School in 1970 and Cape Cod Community College in 1995 with an A.S. degree as a physical therapy assistant.
Bill had many professions in his life. He was the owner of Goodrich Home Improvements in Hartford, CT, and the chef for both Sheraton and Hilton Hotels in Hartford, CT. Bill was a crew member aboard a ship for Woods Hole Oceanographic institute and eventually became a physical therapy assistant and worked in several facilities on Cape Cod.
Bill provided love and care for his mother, Josephine for the last 3 years of her life before her death in 2012, and has been caring for his disabled brother.
Bill was predeceased by his father William Harnett Sr., mother Josephine Harnett and his uncle Dan Hepp.
He leaves behind his brother, James Hartnett of North Eastham, a cousin Claudia Ashline of East Hartford, CT and a longtime friend Kathleen Doonan of North Eastham, MA.
Bill enjoyed being on the water fishing, long bike rides, and being with his family and friends. He was a tremendously humorous, compassionate and caring individual who will be missed by all whose life he has touched.
