Travis E. Taylor, III was born on Saturday, November 28th, 1981. He was the only son and third child of Travis E. Taylor, Jr, and second child of Susan J. Hill. Travis started life in Houston, Texas. Soon thereafter, he and his family moved to New England to be closer to family. While there, he enjoyed many happy family gatherings. His father’s work relocation resulted in a move to Perry Country, Pennsylvania, when Travis was 6. It was there that Travis’ personality began to take shape, as he made friends and discovered the joys of boyhood, including a love of sports. He was a superb athlete and excelled at baseball, always playing key roles in his team’s victories. When he was 14, the family moved to Florida, and at 16 Travis moved separately to live with his Aunt and Uncle, Pamella and Brian Eastman, of Eastham, Massachusetts. Aunty Pam and Uncle Brian guided him through his teen years, which were spent attending school at Nauset Regional High School, and later they helped him to carve out a niche for himself as a professional carpenter. In everything he put his mind to, including his carpentry business, Travis shined.
He was known for his warm and friendly personality and his zeal and enthusiasm for life. He was a friend to many, always there to lend a helping hand. He was well-loved by many friends and family members from New England, to Pennsylvania, to Florida. He had a passion for fishing and enjoyed carpentry and cooking as well. Travis passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 22nd, 2012. He was 30 years old. He is survived by his parents, Travis E. Taylor, Jr., of Cumberland, RI, and Susan J. Hill, of Dennis, MA; sisters Jennifer Clarke, of Dayton, OH, and Melanie Federico, of Covington, RI; fiancée, Christine Martelli, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
