Rod was born in Barnstable, MA in 1954, a true Cape Codder. He was the son of Robley E. Fulcher, Jr and Lois Wittman.
After graduating from Nauset Regional High School in 1972, he worked for 32 years as a station operator for the Town of Orleans Water Department, retiring in 2018. Rod enjoyed riding his Harley, being at the camp on Nauset outer beach, fishing, skiing, old cars and RV camping, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Rod was the husband of Janet (Peterson) Fulcher for 48 years and brother of Bambi (Fulcher) White and husband Mark White of S. Yarmouth, MA. He leaves behind two daughters Rachel (Fulcher) Rivera and her husband William Rivera of Brewster, MA, and Erin (Fulcher) Soby and her husband Michael Soby, along with his grandchildren Mikayla, Dakota, and Gavin of Yarmouth, and Lettie, Ahmari and Aaralyn of Brewster, MA. His warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on his many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Rod touched many lives with his laid back, kind ways. He was a generous person who would give you the shirt off his back if asked. His heart was as big as his smile. The world is a better place for having him in it.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the Orleans-Eastham Elks Lodge from 1-4 pm. Please bring your stories and memories of Rod to share.
