Pat was born on April 29th, 1935 and was one of six children born to Patrick & Agnes Reynolds in Dublin, Ireland. As a boy Pat enjoyed reading and going on cycling tours of Ireland. He left home as a teenager and found work in London, England. After working in London for a number of years Pat immigrated to the United States at the age of 24. He immediately found work as a stock room clerk at a small manufacturing company in Hackensack, NJ. His natural intelligence and work ethic allowed him to move up into the management ranks where he held the position of General Manager and he retired from this very same position after 40 years in 1999.
One night in 1969 Pat met Anne Boyce at a dance in the Bronx, NY. They began dating and quickly fell in love. Pat and Anne were married on July 17th, 1971. They had two children Siobhan and Neill and raised them in Rockaway, NJ. Pat often said that these were the “best years of his life.” He enjoyed spending time with his family, travelling, and sharing good times with the families of his brothers and sister, friends, and neighbors.
After he retired in 1999 Pat & Anne moved to Orleans, MA. Pat enjoyed golfing and spending time on Nauset Beach with family and friends. Above all he loved spending time with his daughter Siobhan, her husband Paul, their son/Pat’s grandson Declan, as well as his son Neill his wife Nadia.
Pat was man of many talents. In his work life Pat was very smart and had a strong, disciplined work ethic His friends knew him as kind, fun loving, disarming, and quick witted. His brothers and sister and their families saw that and in addition respected him greatly for his strength in the tough times. His immediate family saw all of that and even more. Pat was the greatest husband, father, grandfather, and father in law that anyone could ever wish for. We will miss you.
