Nancy A Rousseau

Nancy Rousseau, 81, of Eastham, MA (formerly of Haddam, CT) passed away on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 after a brief illness. Nancy was born in 1942 in St. Johnsbury, VT to Austin K. and Barbara Brown Blake.

Nancy graduated from Ona M. Wilcox School of Nursing in Middletown, CT as a Registered Nurse in 1963. She began her nursing career at Middlesex Memorial Hospital, pausing to raise her children, and then resuming her career at Haddam Public Health, Old Saybrook Visiting Nurses Association, and then Westbrook Visiting Nurses in CT prior to retiring to Eastham, MA.

Nancy leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Raymond Rousseau. She also leaves her children, Michael Rousseau and his wife Susan of Portsmouth, RI; Michele Rousseau of Middletown, CT; and Daniel Rousseau and his wife Rhonda of Denver, NC; her sister, Wanda Lesick of Middletown, CT; and two grandsons, Timothy Rousseau and his wife Emma “Kat” of Burlington, VT; and Christopher Rousseau of New York, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her brother, Austin “Butch” Blake of Deep River, CT.

Friends and family may gather at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 61 Canal Road, Orleans, MA on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a Catholic Mass following at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, MA in a private ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Nancy's name may be made for the benefit of Kenya Konnection at St. Joan of Arc Church. Checks should be payable to St. Joan of Arc Church and noted in the memo that it is for Kenya Konnection and mailed to St. Joan of Arc Church, 61 Canal Road, Orleans, MA 02653.
