Nancy Ann Crawford

Nancy was born in Glen Ridge New Jersey and grew up in nearby Bloomfield where she attended High School. During those years, she took a job as a bank teller and soon caught the eye of a young toolmaker who would eventually become her life partner for the next 67 years – her husband John.

They married young, started a family and frequently uprooted, moving around the country as John’s managerial career with Westinghouse Electric Corporation blossomed. Wherever they moved, Nancy would make the new and unfamiliar instantly feel like home. That was her gift.

As a family, they frequented Cape Cod for many summer vacations. Eventually, she and John became wash-ashores, building their retirement dream home in Eastham where they would spend their golden years together. Nancy loved the Cape. Her Cape house became the hub of family holiday gatherings and birthday celebrations. You could find her cooking for the family, tending to her gardens and belly laughing with her kids, her grand kids and great grand kids. In her spare time she enjoyed sketching, painting and handmade crafts.

Nancy’s smile and thoughtfulness will be missed, but never forgotten.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband John P. Crawford Sr. of Eastham, MA in 2019. She is survived by her daughters Cynthia Bachman (Crawford) of Eastham, MA and Johanne Kieffer (Crawford) of Orleans, MA; and a son John P. Crawford Jr. of Essex Fells, NJ and his wife Mary Jane. In addition, she leaves grandchildren: Jennifer Gallagher (Bachman) and her husband Ryan of Scituate, MA; Jamie Beabout (Bachman) and her husband Jordan of Palm Springs, FL; and great grandchildren Chloe and Kaiden Beabout; and grandchildren Carianne Kieffer and Ian Kieffer. Nancy was predeceased by her mother Margaret Myers (Ward), sisters Jane Graham (Myers) and Carol Messatzzia (Myers), and a brother Arthur E. Myers.
