Mary attended schools in Chicago and New York.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Mary survived the Spanish Flu as a toddler and had Covid-19 this past Spring.
Her many hobbies over the years included knitting, crocheting, cooking, gardening and antiquing.
Mary was an avid reader and did crossword puzzles from the age of 16, never missing a day. She was especially noted for her amazing Christmas cookies. She also became a fan of adult coloring books and has filled many books over the past three years while residing at Pleasant Bay Nursing Home in Brewster, MA. Thanks to all the staff at Pleasant Bay for their devoted care.
Mary survived her loving husband Edward who passed away 34 years ago and her son Thomas who passed away last year.
Mary leaves behind two of her three children, daughter Barbara and her husband Frank Konecnik and son Edward and his wife Adrienne.
Known as “Nana” to her grandchildren, she was the proud grandmother of Tracey, Laura and her husband Paul, Scott and Sean.
She is survived also by three great granddaughters, Paige, Courtney and Abigail, great grandson Thompson and two great grandsons in Germany.
There will be no services at this time due to Covid-19 restrictions. A Mass and celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10AM at Our Lady of the Cape, Brewster, MA.
