Marjorie Claire Brodrick, 87, died Monday, September 12, 2011 at her home in Brewster. She was the wife of Malcolm Brodrick of Brewster for 62 years. Born in Newton, Mass. on July 23, 1924, she was the daughter of Richard and Bertha Klein of Waban, Mass. She graduated from Simmons College in 1948 and later earned a master’s degree in education from Boston University. Marjorie raised her children in Weston, Mass., where she lived for 35 years. She worked as a school psychologist for the Wellesley public schools and after moving to the Cape worked at the Brewster Ladies Library.
In addition to her beloved husband, Malcolm, she is survived by her brother, Richard Klein of Chatham; her children Susan, Joan, Alane, Jeffrey and Melissa; her grandchildren Tatiana, Anya, Malcolm, Lilia, Luke and Devon; and her great grandchildren Isabel and Jake.
Marge loved to read, garden and swim in the bay.
There will be a funeral mass at Our Lady of the Cape Parish, 482 Stony Brook Rd., West Brewster, Mass., at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2011 with a reception to follow at 12:30 p.m. at 237 Crocker Lane, Brewster.
