She was born in La Crosse, WI and raised in Bethesda, MD where she graduated from Walt Whitman H.S. in 1967. She attended Wagner College and earned her B.S. Degree in Education. While at Wagner she met her husband Ray and they were married in Washington D.C. on June 12, 1971.
After moving to Waterbury, CT she taught for several years at the Central Avenue Elementary School in Naugatuck, CT. She later worked for the practice of Dr. Neil Lindenman as a medical secretary. After the family moved to Cape Cod in 1997 she worked at Cape Cod E.N.T. in Hyannis from which, after 18 years, she retired as Supervisor of Billing.
Among her many hobbies and interests she enjoyed traveling and was always planning the next trip or vacation. She looked forward to morning walks on the Rail Trail and hours spent tending to her flower gardens. What she enjoyed most was spending time near the water. She loved sitting among the dunes reading a good book and listening to the sounds of the ocean. She always made certain she had something special planned for the grandchildren if they were coming to visit. Their time spent at the Cape became known as “Camp Nana”!
Linda is survived by her husband Raymond, her two children, a son Colin W. Schuster of Easton, MA, his wife Melanie and their sons Matthew and Ryan, a daughter Kristin S. Leveille of Wrentham, MA, her husband Michael and their daughter Ashlyn. She is also survived by two sisters, Robin Harrison of Ocean City, MD and Shelley Thomas of Sharpsburg, MD along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Linda will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, a wonderful Nana, and a cherished friend by those who knew her. A celebration of her life will be announced at a future time.
