Kenneth “Johnny” Ryder, 73, of Brewster, Cape Cod, MA ( formerly Rockland County, NY), passed away September 8, 2017 after a long battle with cancer caused by Agent Orange. He served 4 tours in Vietnam, 1965-1969. He received a Bronze Star and many other medals. He is survived by his wife, Bairbre Gaynor Ryder, sisters Judith Serratore of Fayetteville NC, and Edna Mealey of Myrtle Beach SC, brother Richard Ryder of Pownal VT, Stepchildren Timothy Koenig, and wife Alisa Guido Koenig, Patricia Koenig, Grandchildren Stephanie Tarko and her husband Craig Gabel, Logan Koenig, and Great Granddaughter Lila Gabel, and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will take place at Bourne National Cemetary, Bourne, MA with full military honors. Date to be determined later.
