Judith A. Poulin, 75, of Eastham, MA passed away peacefully in her home on August 4th. A memorial service for friends and family will be held at 11am August 9th at Maplewood at Brewster in Brewster, MA.
Judy grew up in Greenwich CT, raised her 5 children in NJ and Sudbury, MA and spent the remaining years of her life in Eastham, MA. Judy loved gardening, family heirlooms, playing bridge, history, cooking, travel, the beach, U Conn Woman’s basketball and had a passion for learning. And yes, of course chapstick. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her 15 grandchildren, inspiring them to become readers, learners, cooks and to have an opinion.
Judy ran her own catering business for many years with her good friend Mary Dardani and later fulfilled her dream, graduating from Framingham State College with a magna cum laude degree in History/Museum Administration. Judy was actively involved in the Eastham Historical Society, a member of the Eastham Community Preservation Committee and former Curator of the 1869 Schoolhouse Museum.
The daughter of Harold and Mary Andersen, Judy is survived by the love of her life, her best friend and husband of 57 years, Bob Poulin, their children Bobby Poulin (Jessica), Marilou Rowan, Suzanne Rowan (Mark), Laura Poulin (David Cianci) and Peter Poulin (Jeanne), her brother Peter Andersen (Carol), her sister-in-law Elaine Andersen, 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Judy is preceded in death by her brothers, Bill and John Andersen, and her son-in-law, David Rowan.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the The ALS Association, MA Chapter, 315 Norwood Park South, 1st fl., Norwood, MA 02062 , www.als-ma.org. The family of Judith Poulin wishes to thank the staff at Maplewood at Brewster for all their loving support.
