He was born in Scranton, PA and was the son of Veronica and Joseph Olah. He resided in Paterson, NJ for 47 years before moving to Brewster, MA. He was a World War II Army veteran serving as First Lt., in the ADG, China-Burma Sector. Joseph was a graduate of Newark College of Engineering (now NJIT), Newark, NJ.
He was employed by Falstrom Co. in Passaic, NJ from 1940-1990, retiring as Executive Vice-President in charge of engineering. He was a member of St. Brendan’s Church in Clifton, NJ.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Karen A. Wharton and son-in-law Justin J. Wharton of South Orleans, and two grandchildren, Ben and Jake. He was the brother of late George and Dorothy Olah.
