Joseph Anthony "Tony" Imler, age 76, passed away August 19, 2021 with his wife of 52 years Kathryn Imler, his daughter Laura Imler, and his brother Peter S. Imler by his side. Tony was a retired international lobbyist who lived in Fort Myers, Florida and summered in East Orleans, Massachusetts where he owned a home for 40 years.

He joined the private sector and became the Executive Director of the U.S. Korea Business Council and the director for international issues at Merck, Inc., where he traveled the world advising trade negotiators on intellectual property rights for GATT, NAFTA, and CAFTA treaties.
His favorite places, however, were Fenway Park, Fenway South (where he worked during spring training for the Red Sox), Nauset Beach, and his beloved 100 year old family camp on Lovell Lake in NH. His abiding joys were the Boston/New England sports teams and his loving family. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten.
