Janet Skadden

Janet Skadden (Mimi) of Orleans, MA. Transitioned to be with The Lord on September 12, 2014 peacefully at her home in Orleans, MA with her loving son John by her side. Born October 26, 1942 the daughter of Valerie and Marshall Skadden of Manhasset, NY.

Janet attended Ithaca College, earning her B.S. degree in physical therapy. As a NY licensed Physical Therapist, Janet held positions at Glen Cove Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital Bayside, NY. She was a longtime resident of Allendale, N.J. where she served many years on the town council. She had

been a resident of Orleans, for the past15 years, where she enjoyed friends, painting, gardening and most of all spending time on the beach with her grandchildren. Janet was a member of the Alter Guild at the Church of the Holy Spirit. Janet is survived by her son John Marshall Moss (wife Libby) and there children Dory, Rosemary and John. Her daughter Marilyn Whitten (husband Rick) and there children Cooper and Kelsey. Also, her sister Nancy Skadden and brother Stuart Skadden.

A celebration of her life will be held on October 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans.
