Gail L. Guilford

Gail Lida Widdison Guilford of Eastham, MA. Passed away at Pleasant Bay Nursing Center in Brewster, MA. On November 11, 2022 with her husband "Gill" at her side. Gail was born February 2, 1940 at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT to Kenneth Widdison and Florence Widdison Galeota. Gail attended East Hartford High School, class of 1957. After high school she worked at Dunn & Bradstreet as a typist and then at Manchester Memorial Hospital in the purchasing department. When her husband Gill started his own business she did the office work and bookkeeping. When Gill sold the business Gail went to work in the local school system, as a teachers aid. She retired from the school system about 5 years later.

Gail loved the beach, swimming, boating and fishing. Traveling in their motorhome to southern states in the winter and northern areas in the summer. Gail was a member of the Eastham United Methodist Church. Gail was predeceased by her mother, father, stepfather, and twin sister. She is survived by her husband Allan "Gill" Guilford, brother Anthony Galeota, her son James Peter Masterson, two granddaughters, two great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22nd beginning at 10 AM at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT, funeral service to follow at 11:40 AM. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford, CT 06114.
