Dorothy Dunphy O'Neill

Dorothy (Dunphy) O’Neill, 90, formerly of Dennisport, MA and Jensen Beach, FL, passed away December 20, 2015 after a brief illness. Born in Worcester, MA, she worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and eventually was a secretary for the Worcester School system.

She was the wife of Francis O’Neill, a former Worcester fire fighter, who predeceased her in 1981. She was one of five children which included Eileen and Richard who have passed, and Thomas of Worcester, MA and Edward of Dennisport, MA. Dot took great joy in her grandchildren, Shannon, who passed in 2012, and Tim & Terry O’Neill of Eastham, MA and Orleans, MA. She leaves behind her only son, Dennis and his wife Dianne of Eastham, MA.

In her later years she split her time between Jensen Beach, FL, playing golf and Dennisport, MA where she volunteered at Holy Trinity Church. She spent countless hours working in the thrift shop.

Dot loved spending time at the beach, and at her request her ashes will be scattered there at a private family service. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
