It is with immeasurable sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved son and brother, Brendan John Joyce. Brendan passed with his family by his side on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Brendan’s unexpected illness came after having enjoyed a perfect weekend with his parents, brothers, sisters-in law, nephew and nieces at their family home in Naples, FL. Born March 1, 1995, sharing his birthday with his adoring Mother, he was raised in Needham, MA. Brendan was the youngest son of Mark and Trish Joyce. Brendan was a 2014 graduate of Lawrence Academy and a 2018 graduate of Fairfield University. Upon graduation, Brendan lived in South Boston where he began his career in the Cyber Security industry. Brendan enjoyed golfing, fishing, hockey, and all of his pets. His “happy place” was port side on “The Buoys are Back” boating in Cape Cod Bay. Brendan’s greatest joy was being an uncle to Jack, Faye and Lane. Affectionately known as “Dino”, Brendan’s needs were few but his gifts were plentiful. He was a deeply loyal and genuine man, always caring and sensitive to the needs of others. Brendan’s kindness shone wherever he went and his loving nature made those around him feel valued and supported. Brendan’s charisma was effortless yet magnetic, drawing others close with his unassuming charm. His infectious energy and zest for life made it a joy to be among his company. Brendan has left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Brendan leaves behind his loving parents Mark and Trish, his two best buddies and favorite couples Mark (Gemma) and Christopher (Courtney). He loved dearly his nephew Jack and nieces Faye and Lane. Brendan was the adored grandson of Charles and Ann Sanders of NC and the late Stephen and Catherine Joyce. Brendan was a treasured nephew to 15 aunts and uncles. He was admired and loved by 24 cousins and numerous friends.
Family and friends may gather for Brendan’s wake at Nickerson Funeral Home 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA 02653 on Wednesday, March 26th from 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 61 Canal Road, Orleans, MA 02653 on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Rett Syndrome Foundation www.rettsyndrome.org would be appreciated.
