Long-term Orleans residents, Joseph F. Stack and Antoinette Stack (née Robuski), died within one week of each other in February at the Wingate Nursing Home in Brewster where they had been residents for two years. Joseph, son of William and Nora, was born in Brockton in 1921. He was a graduate of Brockton High School. He served in the Coastguard during WW11. Antoinette was born in Bridgewater in 1922, and was a graduate of Bridgewater High School. Antoinette owned and managed a hair salon in Brockton for many years.
In 1973, Antoinette designed and Joseph helped build their Orleans home. Joseph was working as a carpenter with builder, Robert Gibson. Joe and Toni celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in February. They were good friends; we will miss them.
A memorial mass will be held at the St. Joan of Arc Church in Orleans (where they were communicants for many years). The service will be on April 1st at 10:00 A.M." A celebration of their lives will be held at their former home following the service.
