Andrew “Andy” Napolitano, age 78, passed away peacefully at his home in Eastham on April 15, 2025. Born and raised in Squantum, MA to the late Giacamo & Lillian (Popoli) Napolitano. He graduated from North Quincy High School in 1965 and moved to Eastham in 1970, building his home with his wife Denise (Deveau).
He worked for and retired from MA Highway. He was a long time Zamboni driver and hockey coach at Charles Moore Ice Arena where he made friends with generations of families while they grew up skating at the rink. Upon his retirement he drove a school bus for Cape Cod Collaborative which allowed him to spend his summers running his charter boat “Hobo” out of Rock Harbor.
Andy spent his lifetime boating on Cape Cod Bay and being a long-time member of the Cape Cod Charter Boat Association. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, the New England Patriots and Boston Bruins and classic muscle cars. He loved playing ice hockey and skated with a weekly men’s league well into his 60’s. He enjoyed hanging out with friends listening to live music, especially The Grab Brothers.
Survived by his long time partner Sandra Williams. He was the loving father of Maria Curtis and her partner Louis Romiza, Peter Napolitano and his wife Lauri (Hudson) and Dominic Napolitano and his partner Sheila White. Papa to Alexandra, Cristian, Annabelle Napolitano and Joshua Curtis. Honorary Papa to Madalyn Sheehan, Adalyn Romiza and father-in-law to Henry Curtis.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Friday, May 2, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at The Nickerson Funeral Home 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA 02653. A private burial service will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Eastham, MA. The family welcomes friends and family to attend a Celebration of Life Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Orleans Eastham Elks Lodge #2572, 10 McKoy Rd, Eastham, MA 02642. All who knew him are welcome to come honor his memory.In lieu of flowers donations in Andrews's name may be made to the Orleans Eastham Elks Lodge Scholarship fund by visiting www.oeelks.org.
