Andrew Hathaway

Andrew was the son of Betty-Lynn “BL” Hathaway and the late Dana Hathaway. He was cherished by his sister Amelia and her husband Sami, his sister Margot and her husband Barry, and his nieces Chloe and Hannah and nephew Tedy.

Andrew graduated from Nauset Regional High School in 2006. At 6’4”, he was the starting center for the High School basketball team. He was joined on the team by his best friend Nick Minnerath, who went on to play professionally. Andrew continued to love basketball playing in recreation leagues and on his own, practicing dunks and foul shots.

From 2008 to 2014, Andrew worked for Ponderosa Landscaping where he was promoted to crew chief. More recently, Andrew developed a great interest in positive rap music. He filled seven composition books with lyrics and was making overtures to promote and perform his music. He also wrote poetry.

Andrew was a magnificent young man. He was handsome, smart, kind and caring and usually thought of others before himself. He really enjoyed spending time with his family – during the summer at the beach, in the fall picking apples, and one winter on a family cruise.

Friends are invited to gather at Nickerson Funeral Home at 10:30 AM for a brief funeral service for Andrew on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 10:40 AM, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, Massachusetts 02653. Immediately following, Andrew will be laid to rest next to his Dad at 11:30 AM at Orleans Cemetery, Tonset Road, Orleans, Massachusetts 02653. All are then invited back to BL’s home at 150 Mill Road in Eastham.
