Yvonne Elaine Friend

Yvonne Elaine Friend, 81, a Christian, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, baker, and a singer. She was involved with her church, Living By The Bible Community Church, where she served as a devoted choir member. Yvonne attended Dobbins Technical School in Philadelphia, PA and obtained her degree in Commercial Business in January 1954. Yvonne worked as a Deputy Clerk of Orange County Courthouse Criminal Division and retired in 2001. She enjoyed spending time with family. Her style, humor, laughter, and love for others will be dearly missed. Yvonne walked into the arms of Jesus early Wednesday morning, December 27, 2017, when God called her home due to complications from Lung and Heart failure. She was born February 19, 1936 to the late Arthur and Marion Friend in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Preceding her in death were her parents, Arthur and Marion and one sister, Jeannie Smith. Yvonne leaves to cherish her memories for her faithful Children, Rhonda (Reginald) Newell – Bracey, VA, Janice (Otha) Harlan – Orlando, FL, Leander (Monica) Brooks – Marietta, GA; Brother, Arthur (Sylvia) Friend – Landsdowne, PA; Nephews, Arthur Friend, Jamiee (Alicia) Friend, Grandchildren, Derrick Brooks, Stephanie (Justin) Woods, Reginald (Samantha) Newell, RaShonda Newell, Julius, Isaiah, Shakieria, & Martel Harlan, Kylan Tippett, Shalanna, Shamarria, Shaleea & Lee Brooks; and a host of Great grandchildren, cousins and close friends.
