Gary and Steve, sorry to hear this news.  What great neighbors he and Virginia were for all those years on Dellwood Drive!  When my own dad passed on in 2005, both he and Virginia were there to offer support and encouragement.  God bless you all.

In response to Karen Stone Baker...I don't think we are related but coincidentally...our youngest daughter is named Lori Stone Badgett...living in Nashville.  My husband's family (Stones) are from Greensboro, GA.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  Growing up, we had the pleasure of knowing the Hamilton Family as neighbors there on Dellwood Drive. I have fond memories of Mr. Hamilton and his hearty laugh!  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Uncle Walter we will miss your hearty laugh and those family tales you loved to share as much as we loved to listen. Rest and enjoy Heaven. Tell Aunt Virginia,Mom and Dad we love and miss them too. You go catch that big one.

Walter will always be remember as a kind, gentle fun loving man and a man who loved his God and family.

Mr. Hamilton was a wonderful person. His handsome looks transferred to his son Gary and then on to his beautiful granddaughter, Heidi. Will never forget the fishing trip when my son, then 6 had to go - the rest is history, so funny! Gary, you & your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Walter and Virginia were our dear neighbors for many years on Dellwood Dr.   I use to babysit Stevie and Gary.  My sympathies to the family but I rejoice in knowing they are together again in heaven.  I cherish many fond memories.

Steve and Gary:   I wish to extend my deepest condolences to you and your family.   I am the oldest daughter of Robson and Eloise Grainger, known as Punky.   Your parents were such wonderful people and very dear to my parents.   We always felt Mom & Dad were so fortunate to have Walter and Virginia as their next door neighbor for so many years.   Our entire family has many fond memories of Walter and Virginia.

I was so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing.  I will always remember his laugh.  I am thankful that I got to see him at Concord St. the last time I was in Orlando.  You are in my prayers.

Walter will be greatly missed. He was such a positive influence to so many of us and we are forever grateful.

I am sorry to learn of Walter's passing.My brother Stan told me. He was a great influence on the church. We know he is in a better place, and you are in our prayers.

I just learned of Walter's passing from my brother, Tommy. I also appreciate the friendship Dad and Walter had and the love of Jesus they shared that made their friendship so strong. Not to mention their love of fishing. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Steve, Gary and family- 
We were so sorry to learn this evening of Walter's passing.  Walter was a wonderful man and the best friend Dad ever had!  It is hard for a preacher to have a "best" friend, but Walter was one!  It is a comfort to know they are all together again, now, Walter and Dad probably telling the same old fishing tales and boring Virginia and Mom to tears!  
Not only was he a great friend to Dad, but to us as well ... and helped us through some hard times.  We love and miss him, and are so sorry we can't be with you tomorrow.
