I am so sad to hear about my friend Tonya.  She was a shining light in the world, and she shined her light on every single person that she met.  She loved her family more than anything else and she told me often how proud she was of each and every one of them!  I met Tonya back in 1990 when we worked together at a Daycare in Maine and I adopted her beloved cat Oliver from her when she moved to Florida and couldn't take him with her.  We just recently re-connected in 2017 on facebook and I loved seeing all of her posts and pictures about her life.  My husband and daughter Kaycee and I also  flew down to Florida to be at her and Scott's wedding, and she was truly a Disney Princess that day.  We shared a mutual love for Disneyworld also and it was fun to talk about our favorite park, which was Animal Kingdom.  All my love to her family Scott, Ryan, Kelli, and her beloved mom and dad.  She loved you all so so much.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Hugs from Maine.  Holly and Dewey

There are no words to really express how deeply saddened I am to say goodbye to you Tonya.  You and I were the best of friends so many  years ago in Hampden, Maine.  You were kind, and funny. You were the first person I ever knew to put peanut butter on their English muffins, and eat frozen grapes.  No one loved Kevin Bacon as much as you did!  I can remember calling you just to tell you Footloose was on the radio.  You drove your purple three wheeler like a pro and oh... how we both loved to shop. 

I think about all of the times we took the city bus by ourselves into Bangor to shop, or even walk from your Beepa's and Grammie's to the restaurant down the road to get onion rings. And how can I forget the time we went to your Aunt's house in Portland for a whole week! When I drive through Portland I am always reminded of our trip to the park.  So many great times.  I loved all of the adventures you and your parents made me a part of.  

I will forever cherish our childhood friendship and the amazing person, daughter, wife, and mother you became.  I am grateful to have known you and will never forget you.  Rest in peace my old friend, and know that you and your family will always be in my heart.

One of the kindest people I've ever known!  Tonya & I became fast friends when we met at a church play group for our toddlers (Ryan & Katie).  We quickly grew into what felt like a sister relationship, sharing our challenges, celebrations & family milestones.  Unfortunately, after the kids got older and life got busy, it was harder to maintain the regularity.  But every time we would get together, it felt like we didn't skip a beat!  She was a gentle friend who always put the needs of others first.  I'm so grateful to have many sweet memories with Tonya!  Our family continues to keep Scott, Ryan, Kelli, Brynn & Ken in our prayers.  May you all find peace & comfort & reminders of her beautiful spirit.

My dear beautiful friend, Tonya!  Our earliest memories are of, of course, our families! Our children.  Your Ryan and my Ryan (Ryan F. and Ryan D in the classroom) were best of friends so many early years.  Also we both have Kelly's.  My Kelly and your Kelli in musical theater together. And so many other community and church memories. Tonya, a sweet, genuine, person, mother, wife, friend, daughter and beautiful soul!  I must admit, it stopped me in my tracks when I heard you went to be with the Lord so so so YOUNG!  I have to believe it's God's timing and He certainly needed another amazing angel with Him and to watch over your amazing family and friends.  I will remember when I foolishly got hurt when my dog pulled me and broke my ankle and scarred my face and you were MORE than willing to offer ANY help I may have needed with myself and my children and Mom.  And so many know the wonderful blessing you were to The Dugas Family when our sweet Dorothy battled her illness.  I will indeed miss you Tonya!  I know you are an angel on earth and now in heaven.  I will pray for comfort and peace for your family and all that know the beauty that you are and will always be in out hearts.  You blessed our Earth for 50 years and you children are wonderful and amazing.  I pray Scott and the children will find peace in all the little signs from you from above. My fondest memories of Tonya are  of our playgroup dates and  days in the park. Tonya was one of the first people I met when we moved to HC.  She is kind, loving always willing to lend an ear.  I will forever Cherish those days and times we spent together. She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter and friend and she will he missed by all who knew her.  My heart goes out to Scott, Ryan and Kelli, Brynn and “Papa”.  She may be gone for now  but never forgotten. My memory of Tonya is that her family was number one in her life. Whenever we talked at the dance studio she always talked about them and what was going on in their lives at that time. You could see how proud she was of them. 
A kind, supportive, loving wife and mother are the words I find best to describe her.
