Sarah E. Dolan

DOLAN, SARAH ELIZABETH lost her courageous battle with cancer November 15, 2010 surrounded by loved ones. Sarah was born on Oct. 7, 1933 in Reading, PA to the late Joseph and Catherine Aiello Garito. She attended Mt.

Alvernia School later graduating from Reading Catholic High School. After graduating from Montclair State College she moved to New York City where she worked as a nurse and later as an executive assistant at James

Talcott, Inc. While in NYC she met and married her husband Larry, November 19, 1960. They moved to Orlando, FL in 1966 where she devoted her life to her family and volunteering with several organizations including, Beta House, Foster Grandparent Program, and the Russell Home. Sarah served as a Eucharistic minister at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and was a past President of the Council of Catholic Women. She was a 1978 summa cum laude graduate of UCF and a proud knight supporter. She was an extraordinary person who lived her life with dignity and grace always putting others before herself. Her gift to us is her example of how to treat others with kindness and serve God. She was the most remarkable wife, mother and grandmother a family could have. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Lawrence; daughter and son in law Kathy and Steve Munsey and grandson Matthew Munsey. She is also survived by brothers Nicholas Garito, Sr.

(Nancy), Joseph Garito, Jr.; brother in law Joseph Dolan; sisters in law Barbara Rowan and Elizabeth Pierce (Richard), five nieces and four nephews. Our many thanks to all our friends who supported us during mom's long illness. A special thanks to Dolly for her loving care. Visitation, Friday November 19, 2010, 6 to 8 p.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church 1702 East Anderson Rd. Orlando, FL 32812. Funeral Mass, Saturday, November 20, 2010, 1 p.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church with reception immediately following. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery, 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Sarah's memory to the Fr. Camillo "Sonny" Avitabile Scholarship Fund at Good Shepherd Catholic School 5900 Oleander Dr. Orlando, FL 32807.
