“Sandy” was born July 30, 1933 in Newark, New Jersey. She grew up in the Central Ward of Newark, and lived most of her life in NJ. In the early 90’s she moved to Florida to be closer to her children and grandchildren. For the last 25 years, and until her passing, she has been living in Orlando enjoying her family and friends.
She graduated from HS in 1950, worked as an administrative secretary after HS, and then shortly afterwards married and began raising two boys. Her family was the center of her world, and she enjoyed being around them to the end. She ran her own business as a care giver for young children and the elderly up until moving to Florida. Sandy had a kind heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Mazza Sr., and her son Peter Mazza Jr., and is survived by her son, Michael Mazza; Daughter In-law, Janet Mazza; and three loving grandchildren, Kristina, Jessica, and Lisa Mazza, all of Orlando. She is also survived by loving extended family; Sister In-Law Mildred Deluca, Carteret NJ; niece/nephew Gail Patania, James Patania, Thomas Deluca, and Michele Mazza, all of NJ; dear friends, Joseph, Patricia, and Geena Catalano, of Orlando; and numerous other loving cousins and friends, all around the Orlando, North Jersey, and New York City area.
A service will be held at Family Funeral Care, 13001 S. John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL, 32837, (407) 812-4200, on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Visitation and viewing will begin at 1:30pm and end with a Service conducted by Holy Cross Catholic Church at 2:30pm. The family will be there to greet relatives and friends.
