Robert William Belvoir died on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, as a result of injuries sustained in a tragic fall while on a rope adventure course in Orlando. He was born on September 20, 1962 in West Hempstead, New York, to Ronald and Catherine Belvoir. The family moved to Orlando in 1966 where Robert’s father was employed as a mechanical engineer for Martin Marietta. Robert graduated from Winter Park High School and received a degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in 1991. His daughter Penelope joined him on the track and raced his car in the ladies’ divisions. She also followed in his footsteps, graduating from UCF with a degree in Industrial Engineering. The two had many wonderful times together and they were together enjoying the rope adventure when the accident occurred. Robert was loved and appreciated by his family and many friends.
