

Richard Dale Reeder
November 9, 1940 – November 24, 2022
After bravely fighting 4 years of cancer, he made his journey to Heaven at 11:59am on November 24, 2022 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Richard was the first born on November 9, 1940 to proud parents of Ralph and Hilda Reeder in Aliquippa, PA. He is survived by brother John Reeder and his wife Bonnie, Son, Vance Broome, and his wife Angie, Daughter, Julie Glenn and husband Jason Glenn, 8 Grandchildren, Shannon, Kyle, Tyler, Kira, Andrew, Anna, Zach and Krysta, brother-in-law Sonny and wife Cookie, Sister-in-law, Jeanine Russom, numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in Death by loving wife Glenda Faye, parents Ralph and Hilda Reeder and sister Carol Lloyd.
After graduation, Richard went on to serve his country in the United States Navy for 6 years with an Honorable Discharge. While serving his country, Richard served 3 Mediterranean cruises, engaged in the Cuban Conflict on 3 occasions and delivered vital supplies to Vietnam. After his service in the Navy, he went on to become an electrician for the next 40 years.
Richard was a member and board member of the Grant Street Baptist Church for many years.
Richard met Glenda in 1980 and immediately became a valuable member of the family. Richard and Glenda married on May 29, 1990 and the rest is history.
Richard had established two major goals in the last 4 years. He wanted to go on a family cruise (which he did in June 2022) and then he wanted to visit is brother John and his wife Bonnie in Boone NC (which he did in July 2022).

As an electrician, he never failed an inspection
He had a servant’s heart
He loved to cook on the Green Egg
He loved to play horseshoes (and he usually won)
While in the service, Richard was asked not to return to Italy for breaking up with the daughter of the Mafia leader
