Miss Olga and I had many conversations, ranging from bringing up children, the value of family, respecting the rich AND the poor.   the importance of the rosary, physical exercise, especially walking, and always she would end by saying, “Goodbye, My Darling! Give my love to your husband”. She had so much love to give, and she  gave it generously . Thank you Miss Olga. R. I.P

I can always remember her as being such a caring person and a child of God.   Her family was her pride and joy.   I was so fortunate to have seen her when she came to Orlando in May.
May she rest in peace and as the gates of heaven welcome her with open arms.  
She will be truly missed but she is happy and free in heaven.
Promises of God's comfort and hope as Jesus said "I am the resurrection and the life, those who believe in Me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die"

Our deepest condolences to Bertie and the Wong Family.  I am proud to be one of her sisters and we have shared so many memories.  She will be missed by all, so kind, caring and always willing to help everyone. We know the pain we go through in the loss of someone so dear to us. My deepest condolences to Uncle Bertie and the family. I can only imagine the real sense of loss. I am grateful that I was able to connect with the family with my own children years ago and to see Auntie Olga then. We have not forgotten that visit to what felt like a family home in every sense of the meaning of that phrase. May God give you all His peace. Love from Angie, Gaby, Franz and Jade.

As other fleeting things go by in life, the memory of your mom will always live on because it was her kindness and concern for others that will always stay with me.

Guiding Light Mom

Mom, from the time I was really young,
I realized I had someone...you,
who always cared,
who always protected me,
who was always there for me no matter what.
You taught me right from wrong,
and pushed me to do the right thing,
even when it was hard to do.
You took care of me when I was sick,
and your love helped make me well.
You had rules,
and I learned that when I obeyed them,
my life was simpler, better, richer.
You were and are
the guiding light of my life.
My heart is filled with love for you,
my teacher, my friend, my mother.

Almost four years ago, I was directed by my dear Uncle Bobby, who was then 90 years old to visit Aunt Olga who lived a few streets away in Orlando. He felt it was important for her to meet me as an adult as my previous memory was visiting her in the family’s shop in Jamaica to get Chinese candies as a little girl. 
Though blind, she was just as kind hearted and her memory was just as sharp as I remembered. She offered me a cool drink and we sat down reminiscing on fond times, family history and catching up on the growth of my children whom she had never met. 
What a joyous moment this was, so much so that I had to snap this special picture as a treasured memory. Aunt Olga, as you enter the pearly gates of heaven, hold hands with Daddy ( Algon) and Uncle Bobby (pictured on the right). Until we meet again, may you all forever Rest in Eternal Peace!  

My Po Po and I visited Disney's Epcot before the pandemic. As I got older, I learned to appreciate pushing her in a wheelchair because I got to spend individual time with her and take her around the park. Taking into account that she could not see, I constantly told her about what I saw, such as window displays or the smell of popcorn, and where everyone was. I would grab things from stores like Mickey dolls or souvenir cups for her to feel. She was always on top of everyone's well-being! She made sure we all had food, were in line together, or wanted to buy something. One time, Celina and I were in one of the gift shops with Po Po, and a woman came up to her telling her she looked like Shirley Chisholm! Celina and I were so happy to hear that!

One sunny afternoon I folded the laundry at my grandparents home AND put it away. I'm with my Po Po watching TV when my Gung Gung walks in demanding to know who did the laundry. Assuming I did something wrong, my Po Po did not hesitate to stand up for me saying, " I DID IT." It hit me right there that my Po Po just stood up for me and was willing to get bulla. My Gung Gung then responded, "Oh no, I know it was Christina and she did a great job!" making both my Po Po and I laugh. She apologized to me saying she was worried I was about to get in trouble and she wanted to protect me. Still, to this day, it warms my heart.

You’ll be greatly missed. Rest in peace. Forever in our hearts.
