Shonna, I am so heartbroken for you, your children and grandchildren. I wish we could have been there in person but we (Moma, Daddy and I ) watched the service online. Todd did an excellent job honoring his Dad. Mike would have been so proud of him. 
I didn't get to see y'all as  often as I would have liked to, but when I did it was like we just saw each other the day before. I loved to pick on Mike and he on me. 
Y'all had a wonderful, full life of adventures, family and love. He will be greatly missed but lives on in Todd, Shawn, Tiffany and the grandbabies.

We have so many wonderful memories from the military, vacations together, weddings , visits to each other’s house, and lots of phone calls that will be in our hearts forever.   Hopefully remembering all the good times,  laughter and great family and friend time you’ve had over the years will help you through this sorrowful time.   Much love to all the family. I’m so sorry about the passing of Mike. He was my squadron commander during F16 RTU. Mike was a great leader and pilot. May God bless the family and friends of Mike. I’m sure he will be leading the other aviators in heaven. 

I could rarely ever bring myself to call Michael anything other than Mr. Loden. It wasn’t because he demanded it but stemmed more from the fact that I met him when I was a teenager. 

I have been blessed to know Michael and Shonna for over 30 years. And I can honestly say I have had as many special memories in their homes, from Ocita to the lake house, as I have at my own family’s. They created such a special environment for not just us as kids, but then for our children as well. 

I will miss sitting by the pool and talking, or standing around the smoker with Michael. Most of all I will miss just knowing a man with his wisdom and love for family walks this earth.  

My deepest condolences to Shonna, my brother Todd and family, Shawn, and Tiffany and family, and all immediate and extended family. 

We were so sorry to hear that Mike, our dear friend and classmate had passed away.  He graduated with us from Booneville High School in 1964.  Many years ago when we were vacationing in San Antonio, we heard someone say, “Larry Morgan, what on earth are you doing here?!”  We spent a few hours with Mike and enjoyed every minute!  He gave us some tips on what we needed to see while we were there.   At that time Mike was still flying with FedX, and he was going to be there overnight.  Needless to say it was a pleasant surprise to run into Mike Loden in San Antonio!  Our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family as you face the difficult days.

My deepest condolences to the whole Loden family. I have fond memories of going to their beautiful house, out on the lake in their boat, cooking out, playing in the pool and watching lots of babies grow up at the Loden home. Mike and Shonna were always generous with their place and always had food, drink, laughter and good times to offer.  I pray for the family’s peace and comfort in this difficult time and send my love. I first met Mike in 1990 when we bought a house next door. At the time I was coming to Florida 3 or 4 times a year and it was always such a pleasure to see Mike and shonna. 
As a family, we had bbq with him and his lovely family, went to church, played golf, jet skied and always had a great time. 
Mike was such a great guy and always will be remembered in our thoughts.

We have so many wonderful memories of our times with Michael and Shonna. I can picture him now, making grilled cheese sandwiches in their kitchen as we talked during our last visit. He was always so full of energy and life, and was a such a caring and sharing man.  We feel blessed that he was our friend, and we’ll miss him!

Carl's older brother, Mike, had already left Ms. State when I joined the Famous Maroon Band. But his legacy had not!

Not only did Carl regale us with stories about Mike's exploits, so did the upperclassmen. He was, apparently, larger than life.

I finally met Mike at a band reunion. Through those, we became friends. I recall one to which he had traveled in a fighter jet.

These days find me learning to fly a plane. Mike was on the list of those I had planned to tell upon receiving the license. Sadly, that can't happen now.

Carl, I can't imagine life without my younger brother. Yours, now without Mike, must have a gaping hole. I'm thinking about you.
